For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a different Sudoku variant every Tuesday. I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.
Hex Sudoku
Solve online in Penpa+ (thx Nick Smirnov!)
Fill in each cell with a number from 1 to 9 so that in each line of connected cells (the rows and both diagonal directions), and in each bold region, no digit is repeated. Some of the diagonals will not contain 9 cells, but no digit will repeat within them.
Solution code: Row 1, followed by row 4.
