A wonderful birthday gift I got this year has reminded me of my Japanese-crypto-sum-memory. After searching for a while I actually found it. The cards look like this:
As usual for a memory every card occurs twice. I definitely remember one can create a normal-looking Japanese-crypto-sum-puzzle with these cards, and I also remember how the cards should be arranged around the grid:
But I'm sorry I can't remember the exact place for all cards. Here I wrote down what I still remember. Perhaps you can solve it anyway?
Solution code: The last column followed by the first row; use "S" for blackened cells.

Beautiful idea and perfect execution ! The fact that you managed to make the clues spell out a lovely message on top of that is the icing on the cake. Danke vielmals :)

It's a shame this puzzle has gotten so little attention since 2015! One of the most beautiful I have solved from you, so incredibly smooth and enjoyable to solve

Hmmm....
