His eyes were large, black spheres, pretty much like the eyes of a chameleon. His long arms were like the tentacles of an octopus and as fingertips he had many little white spheres.
The main problem was the language - he couldn’t speak German or English, nor any other language that I could understand or at least recognize.
While we tried to communicate, he made a great gesture and said "OMNI-GLOT". At first I didn’t understand him, but then he pointed at my globe and repeated these words. So I think OMNI-GLOT is the planet this creature came from. Then pointed to one of the countries and said "BA-DUK". So that’s probably is the country or region where he lives.
As we both realized that we couldn’t learn much more from each other, he put a very beautiful pearl necklace with nice little black and white spheres around my neck. He also gave me a drawing and a large, black and white flecked sphere.
Unfortunately I can’t open the Sphere. It is partially transparent, but the outside has no kind of keyhole, no hinges or cracks – there’s nothing. I must confess that I also tried it with brute force, but even with a hammer I can’t destroy its outer shell. I can’t see much from the inside, but with a little imagination I can make out some kind of microphone. So I conclude that I probably need a password to open this Sphere.
The necklace is most likely just an ordinary gift. I am unable to remove or open any pearls - it just looks nice.
So far I couldn’t do anything with the drawing as well. I wondered wether it is a game or a puzzle, but I couldn’t solve this riddle yet. I think that this drawing might somehow lead to the password that I need to open the Sphere.
I really want to know what is in there. Maybe it's the answer to the question of Life, the Universe and Everything, or it’s just a piece of paper with the number "42" on it. Perhaps it is a tasty "Mars"-bar or just ... Nothing?
Since I am a very curious person, I’m finally asking you for your help in deciphering this enigma.

Ich hab' heute eine völlig falsche Fährte verfolgt und bin dadurch aber auf den richtigen Weg gestossen. Dann hab' ich noch ungefähr 20 Lösungscodes durchprobieren müssen, bis ich den richtigen gefunden habe...

Sorry for the long introduction - as a solver I usually don't like it myself, but the puzzle itself won't take so long once you know what to do ;-)

Entschuldigung für den langen Text - ich mag das als Rater ja auch nicht gern, aber das Rätsel selbst ist recht schnell zu lösen, wenn man erst mal weiß, wie ;-)
