Hexiamonds-Kette
(Published on 19. January 2013, 01:19 by MiR)
The pictured twelve hexiamonds have to be placed into the grid; they may be rotated and/or mirrored. The hexiamonds form a one and only closed chain, in which adjoining chain links touch each other each time in exactly one grid node. Except of these twelve touches there must not be any further touches - neither in grid edges, nor in grid nodes.
The numbers at the border indicate in correct order each time, how many via grid edges adjacent triangles are covered from hexiamonds in the respective strip. The blocks of a strip may touch only in grid nodes, but not in a grid edges.
Solution code: Read the grid line by line. Note the initial letter of a hexiamond exactly when you read one of its cells for the first time. The coming up sequence of twelve letters is the solution code.
