Place the digits from 1 to 9 in every row, column and boldly outlined irregular area.
The numbers outside the grid provide the sums of all digits in the indicated diagonal direction. Digits on those diagonals may be repeated.

Last weekend (26-28 august 2012) there was an interesting sudoku contest at Logic Masters India. Most of the puzzles were variants of Little Killers, one of them being a combination of Little Killer and Chaos Sudoku. I liked this idea a lot, and made two puzzles of this type for the portal. If you apply the right technique, no trial and error is necessary!

According to the ID, this is 1 High Quality puzzle. Im a little bit afraid the other one is 1 Hell of a Puzzle ;-)

@CHalb: there is nothing wrong with your calendar. You can consider these two puzzles as an extra 'snack'. Friday's puzzle is programmed as it is normally. ;-)
