FTZ (3)

(Published on 25. November 2011, 12:00 by Richard)

Place 2 times F, 5 times T and 3 times Z in the grid, like in the example. The letters may be rotated but not mirrored and they don't touch each other, not even diagonally. Numbers on the left and above the grid are the numbers of black cells that belong to a 'T' in that row or column. Numbers on the right and below the grid are the number of black cells that belong to a 'Z' in that row or column. For the letters F no information is given.

Example (with 1xF, 2xT, 1xZ):

Puzzle:

Solution code: The marked column, followed by the marked row; the letter or a minus-sign "-" for an empty cell. (Example: Z--ZZ--T-T------FF)

Great mini-series. I enjoyed it very much. Solving paths for all 3 puzzles are completely logical and I find the logic to be very original. I like FTZ's more than almost all of your battleships/stadtbau puzzles; spiral and labyrinth stadtbau are one of my favourite puzzles ever. :-D

Reply: Thx for these nice words!
I have made a small pile of these for Breinbrekers in the past and although I liked them a lot too, I found the number of different ways to give an opening in this type is limited. So after BB stopped, FTZ didn't pop up in my brain anymore. :-)

After solving, I realized that I missed another FTZ-Puzzle from 2010 (Nr. JV). So I solved this one, too :-)
