2011 Brainwave Sudoku Championship: Parquet Sudoku
(Published on 8. October 2011, 14:01 by RobertBe)
Place the digits 1 through 9 into the empty cells in the grid (a single digit per cell) so that each digit appears exactly once in each row, column and 4×4 regions.
Some cells are larger than others and belong in multiple rows and/or columns (for example, the big squares each belong to 2 rows and 2 columns). No digits will repeat in any of the 12 rows, 12 columns, and 9 outlined 4×4 regions.
Solution code: Row 8 (of 12), followed by column 4 (of 12)
