1. There are no monster trucks in a row or a column that have the same initial letter. This is true for the diagonals as well.
2. Monster trucks with initial letters that are neighbours in the alphabet are not adjacent, neither ortho- nor diagonally.
3. A monster truck whose initial letter is a vowel must not be placed next to another car starting with a vowel, not even diagonally.
4. In every row and in every column there is exactly one truck with a double consonant. All double consonants are different. There is a monster truck with a double consonant in compartment 1.
5. In every row there is exactly one monster truck whose sum of letters is equal to the number of its compartment.
6. In one of the corners is a car with the initial letter B.
7. The SECOND letters of the names in the three central compartments of the central row (comp. 12 - 14) form the word CAR (from left to right).
8. The names of the cars in cell 5 and 7 start with the same TWO letters.
9. The sum of letters of the trucks in cell 2 and 6 is equal, but the number of words is not.
10. In one column the THIRD letters of the names of the trucks form the word CRASH (from top to bottom).
11. The monster truck in compartment 9 starts with an M, the truck in compartment 10 with a C.
12. The name of the car in cell 11 has an uneven number of letters that is not equal to any other sum of letters in the adjacent cells (ortho- or diagonally).
13. The initial letter of the truck in cell 23 is from the first half of the alphabet. It is closer to the end of the alphabet than the initial letter in cell 16.

@Eisbär: I 've missed you yesterday at the DSM. But I am happy that you liked this puzzle. I told Richard already that since I've created this puzzle, a lot of new monstertrucks have been added to Philipps and Hardys collections. So there is enough material for new puzzles ;-)

I missed this puzzle completely because I was in my last exams of my study at that time... I just discovered it last week.
But what a beautiful puzzle Annette, thank you!! I enjoyed solving it every second...
I think it's about time Philipp and Hardy clean up their room once again :-D

Danke!

toll aufgebaut, jeder Schritt eindeutig und zwingend

Sehr gelungene Logical-Variante!
Absolut eindeutig und ohne T&E lösbar.

Hi Anna,
habe Dir eine PN geschickt! ;-)

I only had one solution and it worked...
on 8. June 2010, 09:47 by swotty
on 8. June 2010, 08:11 by AnnaTh

on 7. June 2010, 22:22 by RobertBe
@Luigi: You don't have to assume anything extra, everything is logically solvable following the description.
on 7. June 2010, 21:54 by swotty
Also wenn ich bisher keinen Fehler gemacht habe, dann stimmt 5. genau so, wie es dort steht, gilt also nicht für Spalten.
on 7. June 2010, 21:38 by Luigi
on 7. June 2010, 19:12 by ibag
on 7. June 2010, 18:24 by swotty
