Murder Mystery 9 (0-9 Challenge)

(Eingestellt am 12. Januar 2026, 23:00 Uhr von The Bard)

The famous Sherdoku Holmes can never rest. All the digits went to the town square but there was a murderer prowling the streets. We need your help to with the clues solve who the killer is.

Place all the digits 0-9 in each row, column, box, and marked diagonals but one digit in each was murdered and will not fit. The victims vary and can even be the same value as the killer.

Box 1: Club 32 – Odd and Even: Digits in a greyed circle are odd, and digits in a greyed square are even. For this mystery 0 is considered even.

Box 3: Grocery Store - Consecutive Pairs: Digits separated by a white dot must be consecutive.

Box 5: Dog Park - Thermometers: Digits along the grey line increase from bulb end.

Box 7: Hardware Store - German Whispers: Adjacent digits on a green line must have a difference of at least 5.

Box 9: Parking Lot - Killer cages: All digits in their cage sum to the value in the corner.

Box 2,4,6,8: Roadways – Quadruples: Digits in a Quadruple circle must be placed at least once in the four cells touching that circle.

You must identify the killer as they take their last victim. You will place/identify the killer after all else has been eliminated in the final cell and you need the following clue: A note by the killer was found and reads: “Each second is like a mirror that reminds me of the primal forces within me, with these victims I shall finally be even.”

Another great puzzle in one of my favourite series, thank you! I love the little twist the final clues give :-)

I have to disagree with many people. This was my favorite riddle yet. Would I risk my life on the riddle? Of course not. Nor on any other sudoku.

I actually enjoyed it, it was way harder than I thought when I saw all those clues so it was pretty fun. The clue didn't bother me tbh, as you clearly said that it was to be used on the final cell, I ignored it until that point. It was not a big reveal but it was cool that you managed to lock only that cell

similar to dzamie, i would like to point out that extracting ANYthing from that note is NOT something to bet your life on.

we know, for example, that there is NO correlation between the terms "prime" and "primal".

we know, for example, that there is NO correlation between the concepts of TIME and REFLECTION.

thus we have clear evidence that the note is pure gibberish.

there is a "famous" guy who runs around proclaiming that one times one equals two.
NO, that's just gibberish.

there are LOTS of people who run around proclaiming "gravity is only a theory".
NO, that's just gibberish - random word-sounds mashed together, entirely without meaning.

and there are a HUNDRED MILLION people who run around proclaiming "imposing tariffs on allied nations will get us cheaper eggs".
NO, that's just gibberish.

don't get me wrong, it's a fine puzzle, just don't bet your life on that note.

Pretty good, except for the killer's note and identity. It seems just as likely to me that the killer is correct and will be an even number, or that their note is merely the ramblings of a madman and they will be an odd number.
Luckily, it's the last number to place, so it barely affects the solve, but it's still irritating.

Sorry you didn't like the clue. I tried to make it more than just a single concept with 4 different allusions to which one is the killer. But anytime there is a clue of this type it is hard to come up with something that is not a complete give away, but isn't too difficult to identify. My goal in this series is in the final cell to have one of the digits clearly stand out over the other in light of the clue.
