WOW. I'm back again, and this time I've actually solved it! It took me probably four tries, and about 6 hours, but i wanted to see it through and im so glad I did! The thermos logic was much smoother than I initially thought. fantastic job!!

I tried to introduce valves into these puzzles but people objected to the paint-by-numbers feel to it, so I took them out. :-)
The two bulbs you mention must converge at BRr1c3 < BRr2c3 but then...?
Don't forget that digits may repeat along the thermos, thereby adding another level of vagueness to the question of flow.
But what of TLr6c2 and TLr8c7, in this case, from TLr7c1 to TLr9c4 that flow must be worked out one way or the other.

So, in the case of certain thermos with more than one bulb (like the lines between the middle box's r5c9 and the bottom right box's r4c7), are the thermos then able to increase away from one bulb but then decrease again towards the other? Or am I misunderstanding the "flow" of the thermos?
