Gridunlocked (Tren Hybrid)
(Eingestellt am 16. Juli 2024, 15:47 Uhr von sfushidahardy)
This puzzle combines the pencil puzzle "tren" with sudoku. I hope you enjoy it! There's an example to demonstrate the rules at the bottom of the page.
-
Standard sudoku rules apply.
-
Tren: shade some 1x2 and 1x3 cages vertically or horizontally. Every cage contains a digit (called its 'mobility') which indicates the number of unshaded cells it can see along its longest axis. Shaded cells block this vision. All unshaded cells form one orthogonally connected group, and distinct cages may touch orthogonally.
-
Killer construction: each "corner clue" on the grid belongs to a cage, and indicates the sum of the digits in that cage. The digit in the clued cell is the mobility of the cage. Corner clues might not be in the top-left cell of a cage, and the values of some corner clues must be deduced by the solver.
-
Note that some cages might not be marked with a corner clue, but must still contain their mobilities.
Here's an example grid to demonstrate the rules!
Lösungscode: The unshaded cells in row 7

very fun & interesting logic! I've never done a pure tren puzzle before, but you made it work very well as a hybrid

I'm so surprised I haven't see a tren sudoku before, this felt so natural! Loved the break-in and box 9 the most.

Removed practice puzzle; it wasn't unique in its present form.
