The cages are all Tetris pieces that also act as Uno cards. Digits in a cage cannot repeat. Each piece has a color (red, blue, green, or yellow) and a value (equal to the sum of the digits in the cage). When one piece rests on top of another (i.e. two pieces are vertically adjacent, so they share a horizontal edge), the two pieces must either be the same color or value (or both just like in Uno).

The color of a piece determines how it is restricted:

• Red pieces are renbans: they contain a consecutive set of digits.
• Blue pieces are row-sum regions: the sums of the digits in each row of a blue piece are equal.
• Green pieces are german whispers: orthogonally adjacent digits in a green piece must differ by at least 5.
• Yellow pieces are nabners: no two digits in a yellow piece are consecutive.
