This puzzle was set round 1 of the Skunkworks March Madness speed setting competition hosted by dumediat, in which a pair of setters each select one constraint and both set a puzzle using both constraints in 90 minutes (though it was slightly revised afterwards). I chose X-sums, and The Book Wyrm chose double arrows.
Rules:
-Regular sudoku rules apply; place the digits 1-9 in every row, column, and 3x3 box exactly once each.
-Regular double arrow rules apply: the sum of digits along a line is equal to the sum of the digits in the circles on either end of the line.
-Regular X-sum rules apply: digits outside the grid indicate the sum of the first N digits, where N is the digit in the closest cell to the clue.
Solve online:
Lösungscode: Column 2 (Top to bottom, 9 digits, no spaces)

My first 4-star without any hints in 1:16. This was an absolute blast and extremely satisfying
