Normal rules for renban, German whispers, black dots, killer cages, arrows, thermos, and region sum lines apply. There are no negative constraints of any kind.

Hi zetamath! This is the first time I have been stumped by a 3-star puzzle - oh dear! I've found several interesting restrictions, but they are quite minor, and do not seem to be enough to get the puzzle started. After playing with it for twenty minutes, I gave up, unwilling to bifurcate my way to a break-in. Are you able to provide a hint as to what I should be looking at first, by any chance? Thanks so much! HB.
[I recommend starting with the renban, quadruples, and the black dot in box 3. Note that the every length 4 renban has a 3 or a 6 and a 4 or an 8, which will put a lot of pressure on the box 23 renban. -z]
