Very mind bending puzzle, but in a good way. Even after figuring out the key ideas, the solving process was still pretty tricky.

TIL: 1 on a doubler equals 2 and not 1.. *facepalm*
That aside, very nice puzzle!

I need clarification on a few things. What is the order of rank? Does 1 represent the highest or lowest number? Also, when read from right to left or down to up, do doublers have their values reversed? ie, from the right does doubled 8 count as 16 or 61?
Hi, the rank of 1 corresponds to the lowest number. The order of the digits is always in reading order, so a doubled 8 will read as '16' in both directions, so the example of 5384... when read from the other side of the grid, is read as ...41635 - hope that helps, but let me know if further clarification is needed --Andrewsarchus
