Numbered Sandwich Counts

Ever want to try a sandwich puzzle, but can't be bothered to, you know, actually add anything? Then perhaps this is the puzzle for you. (Or you could try Sandwich Sweeper).
The Rules:
- Normal sudoku rules apply.
- Clues along the outside, which must be deduced, are simultaneously:
- [Numbered Room Clues] That digit must occur in the xth cell in from the direction of the clue where x is the digit in the cell next to the clue
- [Sandwich COUNT] The number of digits between the 1 and the 9 in that row or column
The Puzzle:
You can try the puzzle using F-Puzzles or CTC software
Lösungscode: The 5th row followed by the 5th column (18 digits)

this is a very interesting puzzle, but it's just too difficult for me to keep track of without the ability to mark the clues outside the grid.

Lovely idea, and great execution. Would be a bit less tedious if one could pencil mark on the outside of the grid, but great fun nevertheless. Thanks for setting and sharing, @ RockyRoer :).
