U-Boat Sandwiches

This puzzle turned out better than expected. I suspect the difficulty may be closer to 3.49 stars, but I have rounded up to be safe. It should be approachable to anyone familiar with German Whispers. No prior Sandwich experience required. Thanks to @henrypijames for the name inspiration. Enjoy!
Short Rules: Normal Sudoku, Sandwich, and German Whispers rules apply. Each of the ten outer cells contains a digit from 1 to 9—and those digits are Sandwich clues for their corresponding row/column.
Long Rules:
Normal Sudoku: Within the 9x9 grid, place the digits 1 to 9 in every row, column, and 3x3 box.
Sandwich Sums—Clues are Digits from 1 to 9:
- Each of the ten cells outside the 9x9 grid (marked by dotted lines) contains a digit from 1 to 9 inclusive. These outer digits may be repeated as necessary.
- Each outer digit is a Sandwich clue that gives the sum of the digits between 1 and 9 in its corresponding row or column.
German Whispers: Adjacent digits along green lines must have a difference of 5 or greater.
Solve online:
- Penpa+ (Fill all cells with blue Sudoku digits for answer check)
- F-Puzzles (Turn off conflict checker)
- CTC (Turn off conflict checker)
Lösungscode: Column 1 of the 9x9 grid (9 digits)

I approve! Great sandwich without givens puzzle… I’ve tried for months to make a German whispers sandwich to go with my series and never found something I liked. Never considered restricting the numbers to one digit. That worked really well. Wish I had thought of it!
