Chaos Construction: Killer Cages

An area outlined by dashes is called a killer cage. All numbers in a killer cage belong to the same region and sum to the number in the top left corner of the killer cage.

Lösungscode: Type the digits (no spaces) of the region containing R1C9 as follows: Row 1's digit in the region (left to right), Row 2's digits in the region (left to right), etc. Then do the same for the region containing R9C1. 18 digits total.

Very nice CC with killer cages. Really nice deductions involving the columns. I particularly liked the one that forced 2 cages to be in different regions because of one digit. So cool. Thanks++

Took me an hour to get it done, only to find a deadly pattern at the very end haha. Then another 10 minutes to see my error. Really nice!

Thanks TNC! I can’t lie, your puzzle Tight Fit definitely inspired me to try making a puzzle with this ruleset. I’ve been solving for a long time, but only started setting about 2 weeks ago, really with the purpose of making puzzles of rulesets that I personally enjoyed. I think this ruleset in particular is heavily underutilized for chaos constructions- it’s a ton of fun!

I agree, I think what's missing is an easier puzzle with this ruleset since mine was 5/5 difficulty as well :)
It's always amazing to see something inspired by my puzzle, it feels like I created something more than just a sudoku

Hm. During my various attempts, the puzzle seemed really brutal, but once I solved it, everything suddenly seemed obvious and easy to spot. Very odd! ;-)

Right, it is not monstrously hard but there was one step (which is not the one you mentioned) which took me a long time to spot. That step may not be hard for others, but I just couldn’t see it quickly.
