The way it can have two bulbs is if they're on both ends of the lines. Swap all 1s and 6s, all 2s and 5s, and all 3s and 4s, and you get another valid solution where each line can have two bulbs that meet in the middle.
That aside, it is an enjoyable exercise. Thank you for setting it.

My first solve on this site, and an enjoyable one! :)
Hadn't thought about the missing bulb variant being used in this way before. (Though, to be fair, I have only played one other.)

"exactly one bulb on each line" clarification.

Thanks for the feedbacks.
I have added the "only one bulb on each line" detail.
However, I really do not see how one could put two (or more) bulbs on one single line and obtain a correct thermo.

Without a rule to specify that each line has only one bulb, these puzzles technically have multiple answers.

These puzzles have multiple answers, having no disambiguating rules on where the tips of the thermos are allowed/not allowed to be.

This was a really nice little exercise! Haven't seen the missing bulbs before, was fun to explore a new constraint.
