The Odd Job

Normal sudoku rules apply. Adjacent cells marked with a V or X sum up to 5 or 10 respectively. Along thermometers digits must increase from the bulb end towards the end. Digits on an arrow must sum up to the digit in that arrow's circle. Digits can repeat on arrows if not in violation of other rules. Digits in cages cannot repeat and must sum up to an odd value.

If you meant COLUMNS 4/7 instead of rows 4/7, the pattern you describe should be resolved by the cage in R1C4/R2C4. If you have this pattern in rows 4/7, I'd be interested to see your solution, since this seems to be en entirely different solution to mine. (Maybe you can post your solution as a string of digits as a hidden comment?)
