- Normal sudoku rules apply to the **absolute value** of *every digit from 0 to 8.*
- The solver must shade every cell to assign a positive or negative value to every digit such that *every row, column, and box must sum to zero.* Zero is to remain unshaded.
- The positive or negative value assigned to each digit is the same throughout the puzzle i.e. if it is determined that 1 has a positive value in a cell, then 1 must have a positive value in all instances of 1 in the puzzle.
- The given 8 is negative.
- The actual values (positive or negative) of digits on an arrow path sum to the digit in the circle.
- Cells separated by a knight's move in chess cannot contain the same digit.
- White dots join cells with consecutive actual values. All possible white dots have been provided.

Remove the 'English language' tag, as the puzzle requires not English language knowledge to solve it, but English language comprehension to understand the rules.

Thanks MrBrain and Jesper for figuring out the intended meaning of the central box arrows. A very fun puzzle once the correct interpretation is made.

Aha! I somehow missed that the 8 was circled originally, and was interpreting the central box as a double arrow starting from the 0, which led me to implement faulty logic. I'll try again with the new arrow understanding. Thank you!

@MrBrain: I was actually able to solve the puzzle thanks to your question about the 8 being circled. I started thinking about whether I had misunderstood the path of the drawn arrows, and it turns out one arrow in box 5 actually originates in the middle cell starting upwards (and then around to the left). The other arrow starts in the circled zero and passed through the circled 8 to the cell below it. Not so clear from the picture, in my view. But a very nice puzzle, once you have understood what arrow paths are intended.

Yeah even I faced the same problem

I am maybe doing something wrong. I started the puzzle twice, and ended with a contradiction both times. I am maybe a bit confused by the central box. Why is the 8 circled?
