Every row, column and irregular region must contain the digits from 0 to 8. If there is an arrow in a cell, the digit in that cell equals the total number of cells belonging to the region the arrow comes from that are in the direction of the arrow. For instance, since r1c8 is 4, as it contains an arrow pointing to the left, this means that the region containing r1c9 has 4 cells that are to the left of r1c9. All the possible arrows are given. Amazing puzzle! I seem to be a bit at odds with the general public in regards to the difficulty of these puzzles. I think that the previous one was actually the most difficult, because it was so extremely hard (at least for me) to prove any deductions with any confidence. In this puzzle I always found information that nudged me forwards, and it was a very smooth and highly enjoyable solve! :-D

Congrats!
As mentioned in the hidden message below, I thought the tricky part warranted this level of difficulty.
Glad you saw through it and appreciated the experience :)

Very nice! Compared to the previous exploded compasses, I though this one was easier to get started with, but it was still very challenging, and the high difficulty level remained sustained throughout.

Another great exploding compass sudoku. It was really fun to solve as usual.

Hah, "negatively constrained exploded compass" is probably my new favourite prosaic puzzle title.
I found this brutally hard, but oh so rewarding! Resorted to one non-logical step - trying to find the missing link now.

:)
I think I can guess where and that it involves a 3.
Well done!

Much more difficult than the previous one. Also I once again made a dreadful amount of unforced errors.

Congrats!
I designed this one because of your last comment ;)
